The submitted proposal should be 1,000 words maximum (excluding references). If a proposal exceeds this limit, it may be refused without review. The proposal should explicitly deal with as many of the following sections as are applicable, preferably in this order: (a) purpose(s); (b) educational or academic significance of the study; (c) perspective(s) or theoretical framework; (d) methods, techniques, or modes of inquiry; (e) data sources; (f) results and/or conclusions/point of view.
The IRC-2008 Processing Center will accept manuscripts in the MS Word format following the Template for the Proposal (see also: IEA Style Guide requirements at IEA Publications). The proposals should be free of any reference to the proposal's participants.
IRC-2008 accepts ONLY individual proposals. An individual proposal involves a single presentation or paper. Once paper is accepted, it will be entered into the Preliminary Program. However, pre-registration is required of ALL speakers and if registrations are NOT made by 15 July 2008, participants' papers will be removed from the Final Program.
Submission Procedures
All participants are asked to submit the proposals online via the My_IRC2008 website. Please follow the procedures listed below:

apply a personal account on the website of My_IRC2008; |

login My_IRC2008 and choose the function of “Proposal Submission”; |
3. |
use the button “Add a New Proposal” to submit a new proposal; |
4. |
upload the necessary files with the proposal, and |
5. |
use the button “Submit” to finalize and the system will automatically send a confirmation letter to the participants' email addresses. |

Notifications

Fax, mail or e-mail proposals will not be accepted. |

Those who have submitted proposals will be notified the final decision by 30 April 2008 at the latest. If accepted, presenters must register for the Conference by 15 July 2008 in order to participate in the panels. |

If the proposal is accepted, a full paper should be uploaded to My_IRC2008 website by 30 June 2008 for publication in the proceedings. |
